Playoff Decider between Nigeria and Ethiopia is a Formality- Rabah Madjer

Ex-Algeria international footballer Rabah Madjer has given his takes on the chances of African nations vying for a slot in next summer’s Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
The 54-year-old, who now serves as a consultant for the gulf-based television channel, Al-Jazeera, told Cafonline.com he can already visualise Nigeria, Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire with a 2014 FIFA World Cup tickets.
Madjer’s goal against Germany at the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain and his decisive back-heel in the European Champion Clubs’ Cup (now Uefa Champions League) in 1987 with FC Porto against Bayern Munich earned him a legendary status.
He said Saturday’s return leg match between the African champions Nigeria and the Walyas Antelopes of Ethiopia is a mere formality as the Super Eagles remains a force to reckon with in African football.
“In view of its success in Ethiopia, the second leg will be a mere formality for Nigeria, also one of the greatest football nations on the continent. This is a team that has always been a danger to opponents,” Said Madjer.

“Ethiopia has made tremendous progress in recent years, but in my opinion it is not enough. Nigerian players are superior and Stephen Keshi has done a great job to bring his team to the top.”
Nigeria, already 2-1 up following victory in Addis Ababa in September, hosts Ethiopia at the UJ Esuene Stadium on Saturday 16, November.
