Sharks coach blames referee for disallowing goal
06 April 2014, 15:43Ogunbote told sports writers in Port Harcourt after his team drew goalless with Dolphins that the referee had no reason to disallow a goal scored by his side in the first half.
"My striker, Ganiyu Ibrahim, scored a good goal in the 14th minute of the game, only to be disallowed by the referee.
"My team was organised and played well only to be disallowed a good goal.
"This is football. We can also get a point when we meet Dolphins in their ground in the second round of the league," he said.
Dolphins’ keeper, Sunday Rotimi, said Sharks was a good side and that Dolphins worked hard to hold them at home.
Rotimi said Dolphins were aiming to get a continental ticket at the end of the season and would take all the matches seriously to get the maximum points.
