President Jonathan Deserves The Support Of All Nigerians – Uduaghan

GEJ-UduaghanGovernor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has pleaded with Nigerians to give maximum support to the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in spite of the challenges facing the country.
He said leading the country might not be an easy task as widely assumed but that with the prayers of Nigerians, the president would succeed.
Uduaghan spoke in Abuja on Wednesday when he led leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party from his state on a solidarity visit to the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.
He said his state would continue to support the president, who is also from the Niger Delta.
The governor said, “The state is solidly behind the President. He is one of our own and we thank Nigerians and we pray that they should continue with their support for him.
“It has not been easy, but with their prayers, he would surmount all the problems. Please, let us continue to support him. He deserves it”.
Gov. Uduaghan gave assurances that the party in Delta State, which he said was polarised before, had come together as all the factions have agreed to work together.
According to him, the presence of a former Federal Commissioner from the state, who also doubles as Ijaw national leader, Chief Edwin Clark, at the meeting, was a testament to the unity of purpose of members of PDP in Delta State.
Clark, who was beaming with smiles, agreed with the governor, who he described as his “beloved son”.
Clarke also used the occasion to touch on the recent defection of some PDP members to the opposition, which he said was an exercise in futility as most of them would return to the ruling party.
“I know that where they have gone to, when the fire becomes hot there, they will come back to you to say can we come back. When they do, admit them”, Clarke told Mu’azu.
Uduaghan was accompanied on the visit by the state PDP stakeholders, House of Representatives members, local government chairmen and commissioners from Delta State.
