Anambra LG Polls: There’s No Bad Blood Between Gov. Obi And Obiano, Says Commissioner
FEDERAL
COMMISSIONER OF INEC IN CHARGE OF ANAMBRA, ABIA AND BENUE, CHIEF
LAWRENCE NWURUKU (L), PRESENTING CERTIFICATE OF RETURN TO ANAMBRA
GOVERNOR-ELECT, CHIEF WILLIE OBIANO (2ND-R), IN AWKA ON MONDAY
(2/12/13). WITH THEM ARE GOV. PETER OBI (2ND-L) AND THE DEPOSED NATIONAL
CHAIRMAN OF APGA, CHIEF VICTOR UMEH (R).
But debunking the rumour, Uzodike, who was speaking with reporters yesterday at Awka-Etiti in Idemili South Local Government, said it was a figment of the peddler’s imagination.
He described the originators of such speculations as enemies of the state.
According to him, “there is no rift between Obi and Obiano. Obiano has been requesting Obi to award many contracts, including the proposed Anambra Airport.
“Obiano did not travel abroad because of the conduct of the local government election. Rather, he travelled to rest, as is the practice in overseas”.
The commissioner then advised Obiano to close his ears against such speculations if he wants to succeed like Gov. Obi.
