Leadership Tussle: APGA Protests Exclusion Of Members From National Confab

Factional
chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Maxi
Okwu, has kicked against the exclusion of members of the party from the
list of delegates to attend the National Conference scheduled to begin
on Monday.
Addressing a news conference in Abuja weekend, Mr Okwu says the
exclusion of members of the party from the conference based on the
leadership crisis rocking the party is unacceptable, as a Federal High
Court’s judgment had sacked Chief Victor Umeh as the national chairman
of the party.
He, however, expressed the hope that the Federal Government would
reconsider its position and allow its delegates to take their rightful
place in the confab, in compliance with the clear and unambiguous
judgment of the Federal High Court that adjudicated on the APGA
leadership dispute.
